We arrived in Mississippi in mid-morning of Tuesday the 22nd. They had a nice Welcome Center, including refreshments and lots of lawn and cool trees. We took some time to walk around and take a picture of the magnolia tree. It does not seem too large in the frame until Becca stands next to it!

As you can see the weather had cleared and it was looking to be a nice day. Quite an improvement from the night before when I had to slow down to about 40 m.p.h. in some places to avoid running, blindly off the road. We saw several cars that had apparently not taken such precautions.
