The Maasai Giraffe are one of the three types of Giraffe we saw - the others being Reticulated and Rothschild. The Maasai have only two horns, and have irregularly shaped spots. They do not have the clean, uniform-width lines of the other two types. I still found them fairly hard to tell apart though.
We saw the Maasai Giraffe at both Aberdare Country Club and the Maasai Mara. Who would have thought we would see Maasai Giraffe in the Maasai Mara? Whomever planned the parks and animals in Kenya sure did a good job! So these were the first and last giraffe we saw.
Note in the third picture below the sign for the 9th hole at the Aberdare Country Club! Somehow I suspect that hitting a giraffe with a golf ball would be a bad idea.
