OK, talk about a weird looking animal. Gerenuk get their name from being half geraffe and half antenuk or something. Actually it is from the Somali word(s) for "long-necked". They look like antelope with long, thin necks and tiny little heads. In addition to looking funny they have a tendancy to stand on their hind legs and eat bushes. This looks pretty weird. They also look pretty funny when they are staring straight at you. it is like looking at the edge of a piece of paper. Gerenuk, the two-dimensional antelope.
