Becca and I took the Virginia Bar July 29-30, 2003. While studying I got an invitation to a friend's wedding, which was to occur at Caneel Bay on St. John the weekend after the Bar. Hmmmm, relax in the sun for a weekend in St. Thomas after taking the Bar? Yes, I think so.
We got a package deal for airfare from Richmond and a stay at the Marriott Frenchman's Reef (where I stayed on my earlier trip). So after we finished the Bar we headed to my parents' house and flew out the next morning. We arrived in St. Thomas to find out that there was a Jehovah Witness convention at the hotel. So we got bumped from the main hotel down to the beach-front bungalows at Mourning Star. Gosh, how horrible that we had to stay in rooms that cost about as much per night as our whole package cost each of us.
