My family and I took a day-cruise to Freeport in the Bahamas in 1993. We left from Miami and sailed three hours or so to the Bahamas. The ship was OK, and we did some skeet shooting on the way over. Freeport was kind of a dump. Oil fields, very little vegetation, and not much to recommend it. The primary tourist destination was the casino in town.
