Trip #3 - July 2001

I went to China June 29 to July 17, 2001 with the Imaginative Traveler. The impetus for the trip was seeing the Yangtse River before it was flooded by the Three Gorges Dam in 2003. The Yangtse turned out to be one of the least interesting portions of the journey. My sister, Anne, and I decided to go back in March and found this tour through the National Geographic iexplore site.
