Lodging

Lodgings in the Gettysburg area are plentiful, especially during March, which is considered the off season. We have booked all seven rooms in the Cashtown Inn. A list of the rooms and current occupants is below, along with a link to room descriptions. If you are interested in one of the available rooms, please contact us. A $100 deposit is required for rooms at the Cashtown Inn.

The Inns of the Gettysburg Area is a Bed and Breakfast Association, which includes a number of fine accommodations. In addition, we have some personal experience with the following:

  • Baladerry Inn - located next to the battlefield, on the opposite side of town from the Cashtown Inn, this B&B has nice rooms and the owner is very nice.
  • Brafferton Inn - located in the heart of Gettysburg, the owners are nice and the rooms have character.
  • Herr Tavern - the original site of the wedding, right up until they completely failed to get us a contract after a month of working with them and two-three weeks of asking for one. The place seemed nice, but we would be disinclined to recommend them after our experiences. It is about 15 miles closer to Gettysburg along PA 30.
  • Farnsworth House Inn - located in town, this Inn has a lot of character, haunted rooms, and over 100 bullet holes.
  • James Gettys Hotel - more of a hotel than a B&B, the rooms, while nice, are hotelesque.
